These techniques were used by famous designers like Fabergé, Tiffany and Lalique in the 1900’s.

One of the more difficult and impressive techniques is called Plique-a-jour which means “glimpse of day”. This is where translucent enamel is suspended in the spaces left in the metal; giving a delightful stained glass effect.
