At Lawsons Goldsmiths we have dedicated goldsmiths who work on repairs and commissions in the workshop located within our shop premises.

Simon Lawson founded Lawsons Goldsmiths in 1993 after 15 years of designing and crafting jewellery in the UK and Bermuda.
Lucy Riveiros earned her Batchelor of Arts degree in jewellery at Buckinghamshire New University in 2007. Since then she has worked as assistant manager for Bulgari in Bicester Village before joining our team in February 2010.
Lucy loves designing and creating unique pieces of jewellery and carving wax to cast as small and intricate sculptures. Her passions are painting and travelling abroad and combining her passions she paints with ground glass which is fired in a kiln to form enamelled jewellery.
Matthew was born and grew up in the town of Midsomer Norton, north east Somerset. He originally started off his career doing a mechanical engineering apprenticeship in Bristol, it was during this time he took a place on a local part-time jewellery making course ‘ I always wanted to work with metal, it just took a while to work out which metal’, following this he decided to take up a full-time Art and Design foundation course and then went on to university studying at the Kent Institute of Art and Design in Rochester, Kent where he left with a BA(hons) in Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery Design.
After university Matthew went on to do a one year post graduate course in Silversmithing in North East Berkshire from where he went on to work in Reading at an independent Goldsmiths. He spent 11 years at the bench in Reading before joining Lawsons Goldsmiths in May 2018. Matthew loves being inspired by nature and his hobbies include researching and carrying out bespoke preserving techniques, soap making and foraging.
